This explains alot about me...When i woke up this morning and saw my Rubix cube on my windowsill it dawned on me that The story of the Rubix cube pretty much sums me up!

A few years ago i went to NYC with some friends, while i was there i decided to get a Rubix Cube, i don't know why i just wanted one. So i went to a Toy store and bought one and so did my friend Jamie....I found out Will Smith had a film out where he plays with one or something like that...so unconsciously i must have pick up on this. Anyways i opened it up and straight away put the packaging in the bin...at the time i thought it was a good idea because i didn't wanna take up unnecessary space in my suitcase.

For a long while i tried to figure out how to do that bloody thing and could never even manage one side to be the same colour, and then Jamie comes along with his completed...obviously i was amazed...asking how the f**k he did it...and his simple answer was.....'I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PACKAGING'!
This is my Rubix Cube and for now i've just given up on it!!

I came across Elzo when one day...like you do...i searched on myspace for my nickname...ELZO, i was damn shocked to find out there was someone out there with the same name and suddenly felt like changing it....but realising that i have so many nicknames theres no point stating i no longer want to be called something...i was even more shocked when i realised this 'ELZO' was an artist with a hell of a lot of talent!! He's a Belgian dude who studied Graphic Design and now works at home.

At the moment he is exhibiting his work entitled AMEN in Carhartt stores around Europe!!

One of the Locations being London, So obviously if i can i'm gonna try get my ass up to London to see his work!!! If anyone else wants to embark on the adventure let me know...I'm gonna see if i can find myself a £1 National Express Bus ticket...

Been a while....

And still i ain't got no where in terms of progress!

For a starters i haven't processed none of the film i've shot since....(thinking)...July?!!! Yeah i know having minus money sucks, but i'm not going digital...although i did get Sanka back...aka My Nikon D80, so maybe i'll give that bulky biatch a tickle...haha

So since i last spoke i've been to the US Embassy to get a ships visa thing for the States, you know because i am meant to be starting to work on a cruise ship as a junior Photography...(1 option opened...NO COMMENT). But the process wasn't to hard, i thought i'd be in the embassy for over 4 hours but lucky for me, who had a train to catch in that time got out in 2 hours!!!

The night after Me, My Mum, My Bro & and Step Dad all went to see Muse play live in Teignmouth... before i went to the crowd, we went to a few pubs so i was pretty much wrecked by 5.30pm, but me and my little bro still pushed our way pretty far towards the front. It was a good show, i'd seen Muse twice before when i was 13 and then 17 and to be honest it wasn't as good as those times...probably because i actually liked their songs back then but non the less my little bro loved bouncing about....i tried...but there was a risk of pissing my pants due to the fact my bladder was full and i didn't wanna jeopardize my space at the front.

Other than that it's been a dreary time just trying to find some kinda job to support my living, not that i do much....the only luxury i now allow myself to have are magazines in order to keep my creative knowledge alive.

Caught up with some old time friends as well...

We went to Exeter but there weren't much there apart from Students oh yeah and music...both of them spending £84 on it....i picked up a £3 DVD but put it down due to the fact i knew i needed to survive the day with the little amount of pennies i had... surviving ended up being a burger king meal!

So I'm undecided!! i often pride myself on being easy going but when i think about it I'm fussy as hell...or more so maybe im just lazy! I really don't know and as some important decisions are put in front of me i don't have a clue what to do...

As some of you may know, i got an internship, unpaid with proud Gallery starting September for 2 months part time so that i could get a job too...Where and when that would be i don't know....

On the other hand i have been applying for anything and everything, including ASDA who pretty much turned me down...well in quoting 'We are impressed with your skills and would like to offer you a position......... unfortunately at the moment there are no suitable vacancies...'

So does this mean I'm over qualified??? God knows... But something else came along, my friend Kerry always says to me check the cruise ship sites for vacancies, so what did i do...i checked and with in a week id managed to get an interview...and off i went to southampton for the interview.... it was good but it changed my complete idea of what i thought the job required, basically being your soul! I was offered a position as a Jr Photographer...It's a good opportunity, well a part from the fact i have to pay a good £700+ for bits and bobs before....so if its such a good opportunity why am i feeling like i don't want to do it... it's no holiday thats for sure! I was living in dream land when i thought i could jump off in a different destination everyday because that isn't the case...but then again what else have i got????
In this time of job crisis where the experienced and qualified are taking a pay cut just so they have food coming in, is it a good idea to turn down the 100% commissioned based job i have been offered??

I REALLY DON'T KNOW.....And i only have 4 more days to answer and 2 weeks until I'm meant to start at Proud!! Arghhh

Anyways off the subject, i have no images to show you as my broke ass can't afford to get any film developed...i keep shooting on the spare left over film i have from my wonderful time at College, i miss it... even though it was run by some complete deluded mighty morphing prehistoric power hungry rangers! And one dude from my course who i think still will fight on to snap another day is Jimini 'The G of G's'...no matter what he is still always shooting and i have to say I'm proud...he may of not got the grade i think he deserved considering he was pretty much one of the most creative and passionate photographers on the course but hes still on it...

I wish i could offer you more...but really this is all I've been up to... although i have been to Thorpe Park thanks to my friend Kerry....The rides were good, waiting for 80 minutes a time wasn't so fun and gaining what i hope is only a heat rash on my chest and being stung by one of the billions of wasps whilst on a ride was an added extra i didn't pay for...i guess karma has to balance everything out!
Right i'll let you know what i plan to do as soon as my mind, heart and brain have finished their board meeting.

All i can say is, i've been working on it...I haven't done a blog in a while, and my only excuse is that i haven't got much to excite you all with!

Since leaving Uni i've spent most of my time trying my hardest to find a job, and no matter how many i have applied for i still as of yet haven't got one!!

But f**k it, i wasn't born with a job so its unnatural to me, so don't criticize!!

Anyways i finally found enough money to get a roll of film developed (KODAK VC400).

I used it in my little petri color camera...i got given it about 3 years ago but for some reason always assumed it didn't work...but due to the fact that its 'nonworking' status makes me and it equal i thought i'd give it a chance...

(I gather you can't see it very well with my 'put it in the scanner' technique...which i like! Heres another pic)

Anyways guess what...the little beauty works!!!

The image aren't really that good, as i didn't know if it was working...but heres some!!

I had to save the best til last...and here it is...MAC's granny style!!!

I think the images are alright for a first attempt, the focusing is a little hard, as its a little meter inside which i have to line up to the distances, but i think i'll get the hang of it!!

Also my friends dad gave me a camera to play around with, he bought a big box of cameras in an auction for £20...he only wanted the 2 pairs of binoculars sitting on the top of the box...but got a few canon's, a 8mm mini cam and this....

(Sorry i had to scan it....i like the effect!!!)

I haven't used it yet, i don't quite understand the focusing but once i've shot something i'll show and tell!!

Recently i have been feeling very uninspired. Now i have finished uni i have just been working and saving...watching the days go by....blah blah blah....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz....exactly. With feeling like this i have been neglecting Brasso...so i'm ready to start inspiring myself again as well as my fellow brassoers. Above is a few highlights from my 21st Birthday... i had the most amazing week of my life...so thanks to all involved. Also a wee pic of graduation...you can refer to me and Elzo as BACHELOR OF ARTS now.... WE DID IT!!

Matthew R Lewis, the portrait photographer, committed suicide on ‘23rd’ May 2009. He had been suffering with mental health problems for many years.

At the time of his death he was working on ‘OF GODS AND MONSTERS’, an exhibition of portraits accompanied by his words. He predicted his absence...

‘The name of a man is a numbing blow from which he never recovers so like all dead men, I am present here in absence.’

Of the portraits Matthew said:
‘These photographs are a very small selection of truly individual souls I was lucky to encounter during a seventeen-year interval addicted to opiates. Perhaps they are the measure of the achievements of a collective dream.’

‘Sorting through the photographs beneath my bed, I find an imitation of Christ, ‘The Pope’, Akhenaten, [the Living God], I find my Kuoros and a one eyed Goat. Across the spectrum, there are so many faces’ – some of them might be up with the Angels, but there is only the one who manifests a Saint.’

Andrew Shanahan, Matthew’s partner of twenty years, is putting on this exhibition in celebration of Matthew’s life. ‘All the photographs are framed and waiting under the stairs and the accompanying words are on Matthew’s laptop. It feels like the right thing to do.’

The exhibition is free of charge and open to the public. Prints are available for sale.
A donation of 50% of the profits from print sales will be split between MIND and MDF, The BiPolar Organisation.

Matthew was born in 1959, Hertfordshire, England. Studied theatre design in North London and at Antioch College, Ohio. A self taught photographer. A regular contributor to i-D Magazine, his work also featured in Frieze, Attitude and Gay Times. His photographs can be found in books including Fully Exposed – Emmanuel Cooper and With Gilbert and George – In Moscow – Dan Farson.
A number of Matthew’s photographs can be seen as part of the set design for Matthew Bourne’s, Dorian Gray, at Sadler’s Wells.

VAMPIRE, DAVID GRAY

I came across these series of images in foto8 magazine and thought id share them!!

In Cernavodă, Ceausescu’s ghost still stalks the fringes of town. The bulk of the tenements are crumbling like rotten teeth and the outsiders, the Gypsies and the Turks have clustered themselves into makeshift shanty villages clinging to the city’s perimeter like limpets. The streets and alleys are dark and lifeless, the dracul could easily inhabit these shadowy recesses.

Vampire provides us with a powerful but understated pictorial narrative for a defining moment in Romania’s transformation from despotism to nascent democracy, a time of hope and despair.

The series, is accompanied with text expressing about how the boys father paid someone to connect them to the mains so that they could have hot water, real lights and maybe satellite TV.

The little boy was a very curious boy and always dismantled things, unfortunately this is what killed him after hE stuck a screw driver into the connector box, he was dead in seconds.

This is just one of many interesting photographic features in the spring issue of FOTO8, i suggest u take a look for your self!

A WEEK WENT FAR...

Last week when in Ldn, i visited The Tate, i decided just to have a little look around, and to be honest i got alittle bored, i realised i don't get that same excitment out of paintings that i used to get when i was a kid.

There was 2 things in the gallery i was impressed with.... This piece by Robert Therrien, which reminded me of the huge installations that Tim Walker would use in his shoots...

I took a sneaky snap...shhhhuussshhh

After the bordem, i bought a magazine called EXIT...i thought it looked pretty fonki but havent yet read it properly, just like the new issue of i-D i bought....but heres the website...

After i decided to check out The Photographers Gallery, i haven't been since it had moved to Oxford street so i thought i'd check it out, but unfortunately when i got there, there was no exhibition on, but i went upstairs and check out what was on sale and bought MAC a birthday present considering i'd missed her birthday!!!

Anyways the work that i liked which was on sale was that of Vee Speers, i've seen her work before and i think if i had the money, i'd propbably buy some of her work, i think there's something very beautiful about them...
Another photographer i found was Guy Tillim, he'd shot sensitive and critical photographs, covering different genre as portrait photography, photos of trouble spots in Africa and urban landscapes.
Although there wasn't anything on at the gallery yet, there will be work exhibited soon....

After my quick visit there i jump on the tube, heading for the National portrait gallery...as i came up from the station, all i could smell was smoke and as soon as i came out i realised something was burning down...
I didn't take much notice and plodded along to the gallery, there were 2 artists i like, one of which was a photographer called Angela Gorgas, who has produced some nice portraiture of her friends...And at BP portrait Awards 2009 Painting section, i saw an amazing oil painting that was out of this world good!!
Trust me i thought this was a photograph..

After a long week and managing to get a internship for 2 months at Proud gallery...and getting a 2:1 for my Ba (Hons) Photography degree, i just like to say to everyone on the course...

YES!!!

These are the final images from the V magazine shoot with Lady GaGa for the latest issue. I recently uploaded the video of the behind the scenes of the shoot. Photographed by Sebastian Faena, i'm thinking hmmmmmmmmmmmmm i'm not sure, i like the top two images the almost over exposed one and the black and white give off a very high fashion vibe, which works. Not sure if the soft focus one does though. What do fellow Brassoers think???

Patrick Demarchelier has shot every fashion spread in this months British Vogue (August 09). Each shoot he has tried to portray a different style for each fashion capitals new A/W season collections. If you ask me i think they should of got a different photographer for each fashion capital that suited their look. My favourite spread is the 'Paris' one by Patrick, this not only emphasises his classic beautiful style but has a very parisian feel about it, with key looks from the new collections, it's very flirtatious and feline. Model is Lily Donaldson and is styled by Vogues Fashion director Katie Phelan.

I love the Bunny ears, they have some how made this tacky accessory cool again.

CREATIVITY RULES FOR SURE...I REMEMBER WHEN I WAS ABOUT 5 YEARS OLD WHEN I HAD MY FIRST CAMERA...IT WAS ONE OF THOSE 110 CAMERAS...IT WAS DARK GREY WITH A LITTLE RED SHUTTER BUTTON...I REMEMBER IT SO WELL BECAUSE I THINK THE ONE TIME I SHOT WITH IT WAS THE ONLY TIME...YOU SEE THE IMAGES THAT I MANAGED TO PRODUCE FROM THAT CAMERA WAS A WHOLE JOURNEY IN MY MUMS OLD CAR..THE IMAGES CONSISTED OF ROAD SIGNS LOOKING OUT OF THE CAR WINDOW..THERE WAS A LITTLE FOOTBALL TEDDY THING THAT WAS STUCK TO THE WINDOW THAT WAS IN EVERY FRAME!
I THINK THE REASON I NEVER GOT TO USE THAT CAMERA AGAIN WAS COS MY DAD WASN'T PREPARED TO WASTE MONEY ON PICTURES OF WINDOWS... HE LOST THE FAITH...

ANYWAYS SINCE I REALISED MY YOUNGEST BROTHER WHO'S 14 MISSED OUT ON BEING GIVEN A CAMERA TO PLAY WITH,I GAVE HIM MY HOLGA CAMERA...I TOLD HIM WHAT HE COULD DO WITH IT, PUT SOME KODAK PORTRA NC IN IT AND LET HIM SHOOT...AND THIS IS WHAT HE PRODUCE! I THINK HE'S GOT SKILLS!!

I THINK HE'S GOT POTENTIAL...I RECENTLY GAVE HIM MY MINOLTA 35MM CAMERA...BUT HAVEN'T SCANNED THE FILM YET...

Films like no other...

I did a little project not so long ago, using colour gels, balloons etc, putting them in front of peoples faces and shooting on colour transparency. I realise now that some of the images i disregarded i actually like better than the ones i original chose for print.

They just have an isolated feeling that i believe you can really produce using film...it creates a certain quality digital just could never reproduce.

So for all of you who know me personally, will definitely know how much i love Jr Gong...It's obviously my own opinion but i think i've been lucky to see Jr Gong and many of the Marleys play on several occasions live, in fact i've met a few of my best friends through those shows...and i've also seen Nas live so after Jr Gongs last album dropped in 2005 'Welcome to Jamrock' it was exciting to hear the collaboration of the 2 artists on 'Road to Zion'.

There has been rumors for a while that Damian and Nas were gonna do an album together...as they both haven't release any albums in a while...so here it is...well the preview of the soon to be release album 'Distant Relatives'.

London graduate show 2009

As you may know about 12 people from our graduating class at Plymouth College of Art showed work at The Trumen Brewery as part of Free Range.

The week was amazing, we all managed to construct the exhibition, put up our work and take it down again...some thing of which i think other graduates weren't capable of doing themselves, as i found out technician sorted everything for them! Lazy students!

All thanks have to go to Sarah Webb who pretty much organised it for us, getting us motivated and giving us guidance! It's one fo the best experiences i've had while studying at Plymouth College of Art and i'd definitely say to those graduating in the future to do it!

For those of you who didn't make it...heres a little some thing to show you how it went!

Today the Brasso team had a task of painting some boards white...hmm yeah sounds boring, but it had to be done....you see, we have a exhibition in london on the 11th of June with Free Range- Check the link..

..so we have to build the exhibition because its in the old Truman Brewery, which is pretty damn big!

Anyways this is how the day unfolded...

Some how we ended up in M&S...Mac can't just go to any old place to get a cup of tea...no we are made to sit amongst the over 60's and sip on our golden tea...well it should be for the price! After shouting out loud what i thought of M&S and their expensive goodies, i ordered some food...and ended up with this device?!!! I was told it flashes and vibrates...

I got forced into buying this carrot cake....by my bloody brain aids!!
It was damn good though...check it out...with the little carrot on it...i will warn you though it costs £2.50?! buying it was painful...eating it was pleasurable!
We went back into college to get the show on the road...when we saw these illustration that you could doodle on, so naturally Mac put our link up! Im sure you PCAD peeps will see more around!

So it's coming to that time me and Elz knew was coming....reality...dam it! We have very much enjoyed taking photos and studying the art that is photography for the past three years and now realise the time to step into the real world that is upon us...! So as we were both feeling un inspired and the sun was shining...we set off to the beach...
We spotted a Shag. The closest me and El have been to a Shag for a long time....look at it spreading it's wings!
We read some of our favourite contemporary magazines and got re inspired as well as coming up with new ideas for Brasso....

While most are too afraid of the unknown...Me aka ELZO and MACATTACK delved deep into the world of Professional Photo mounting...you may think this is not that serious but i can tell you, when you spend god knows how long capturing, editing, printing your final images ready for the last ever deadline of your 3 year degree and then waiting too long for your perspex to come after acknowledging that last week the warehouse caught on fire....it can get tense!! Also with an added extra caution that if you f**k it up you've just wasted over £30!

So after waiting all morning for Mac to get hold of me to say the delivery man had brought the perspex, i rushed down to the train station to jump on the next love train to get to, who's house...MAC'S HOUSE! (Ohh sh*****tt i just spilt tea on my iphone...ok its alright..) Anyways we reach PCAD and after paying for our materials...shout outs to Debs and Steve! We suddenly realised, that theres more to mounting than what meets the eye!

ONCE THIS IS DONE, YOU THEN HAVE TO CAREFULLY ATTACH YOUR RAW IMAGE OR LAMINATED IMAGE IN MAC'S CASE TO THE PERSPEX USING THE ADHESIVE YOU ATTACHED EARLIER.... THEN IT HAS TO ONCE AGAIN GO THROUGH THE MACHINE....
I DON'T LOOK TOO SURE OF MYSELF DO I?!?.... THATS THE WAY I ALWAYS LOOK...HAHAHA

After scanning some of the images i took while on my travels, i realised i haven't been pushing my photography enough...i enjoy what i do but sometimes i really don't think im creating work that is strong...i know most of you probably feel the same way, but for a long time now i haven't quite felt like a photographer...

After looking at my images i was really impressed with what i'd captured, and the bonus was that when i was taking them i was having fun, it made me feel like i was actually working.

From this i really wanna just start shooting, documenting cultures and lifestyles and the relationship people have with their environment etc (sounds about the same as most people really, but suppose you have to do something you love otherwise whats the point?!?)

While doing some research for my current project, i came across a photographer 'BOOGIE' which has just become my favorite photographer, definitely inspiring me...

TRAIN, CAR, PLANE, TRAM, METRO, BUS, BOAT, GO KART, (FORGOT THE REST)

Anyways i went on a little trip with my photo buddy JAMIE BUNCE...Check him he's got skills (photochroma.co.uk)...Was only 7 days away but it was funnnn!!! I think we walked about 50 miles all and all, which is evident by looking at my poorly feets... anyways here goes..got some random shot on my iphone...nuthing special and after a while my phone died so couldn't take pix on it in Budapest (left the plug in Jamie's car!!)

So it was pretty damn hot...well anything is hot compared to the UK but it was hot and we went to this castle where u could see alot of Bratislava...was cool but already my feets were hurting...and they didnt stop hurting....(They had a whole new journey of their own)

See had to take the shoe off to rest it up a little....

This is the baked goods section...it was huge!! oh and their local shop is TESCO's...oh yess!
These babies created many good time jokes between me and Jamie...u may never know!!

We did a lot of walking in Slovakia, it was a cool place...small but chilled!

Here's your post card just incase you didnt get one....oh and yeah we decided to go on the ferry to Vienna....the kids killed it!!! Was running everywhere, speaking their craziness!!

We made it to vienna took our stuff to the hostel and u know what we went for after that....A BEER AND CHINESE...was damn good!! lol

Next day we decided to check out some camera shops, and god damn them with their goodness...they had everything i wanted and everything i couldn't afford!

Including this baby.....grrrhhh makes me angry seeing it all lonely in the shop window...it should be with me!
after visiting the Lomo shop we went for more walkings....heres me looking dopey as per usual!!
We managed to find a really cool exhibtion by Megan Lewis at a photography museum...there wasn't just interesting images there was....
a whole room full of crazy camera's....it was amazing! I saw camera's i never knew existed!

So as usual either walked or jumped on the metro...luckily i got to rest my feets on the metro...that foot looks happy right!?!?!
We decided to go to some theme park....see this gorilla...i took a picture of it and straight after it nipple juiced on me...or wee'd or spat...i dunno but look....wetness...
NOT GOOD!

Me and J had a go on the go karts, i was a bit shit...well i was ok but i couldn't see out of my helmet.....we soon got hungry...Jamie told me this funny piece of food here should have cheese in it...

I soon found out it had a sausage in it...obvious really but urrgghhh!
I found this fonki bottle of water...although i dont know the purpose of it...it had this little ring on it....maybe for swinging???

I came across this crazy building after me and Jamie tried to get into the united nations...

The next journey was Budapest...so we jumped on the train with some beers...Jamie spoke to this dude...lets call him Hungry!
This was some money...the shops wouldn't let me use it cos the corner was ripped....ghayyy
So this is just before my iphone died...this is out hostel room in a hostel...was small as hell but felt good!! lol

So me and Jamie walked about a million miles more and although you haven't learnt anything about the places we went too, i'l show u some pictures i snapped on my minolta a little later! It was fun....try it out!! Just don't listen to certain locals when they say get on a certain train, you may end up in Russia!

I did a fashion shoot recently on Bantham beach with model Chelsea Payne. She was a fantastic model, it was very windy and cold down there and she sustained it. I also had team brasso on hand to help assist...everyone did a wonderful job! I shot on medium format Hasselblad using the digital and film back, and 40mm lens. The weather was rather cloudy, i intended to use natural lighting, but didn't work out so used one light to create a sunlight effect. Images to be posted soon....so stay tuned Brasso lovers!!

Me( MACATTACK ) and ELZO have a serious obsession with TEA and BAKED GOODS...!! We used to pratically live in Starbucks, but it was getting a little expensive, although me and my friends are now regulars at this beautiful little place called Angel Tea Rooms which is in Babbacombe in Torquay! This place is actually amazing...Ladies Tea is my fav for like £5.90 you get four little sandwhiches (Honey roasted gammon ham is the best) a homemade scone in the shape of a heart, with two home made jams and fresh devonshire cream, a pot of tea all served beautifuly in proper china cups! YOU MUST TRY IT, but you have to book as its always busy. I LOVE TEA!

So today was eventful as ever...

Me and Macattack had a shoot to assist...well Mac was on the makeup and helping and i was just a general slave to Jamie Bunce's tricks...

The day started well...although MAC could not slipped that bloody 5th gear...some one seriously needs to look at it cos laaawwwddd...we can't hear any music on the way down, the engine roars like a 9 year old kid is driving it on a council estate!!! Anyways we made it to Plymouth...and before any job we knew we wouldn't survive with out diverting to get baked goods in Sainsbury's....

We got to the shoot where Jamie created his magic ( will post images when Jamie wants to...)

Ok so after all this we took an extended trip into town to go on hunt for clothes for some of Macattack's fashion shoots next week....i kinda just follow, wanting to spend money i dont have and giving extremely inspirational advice...haha....anyways as we knew the 5th gear was a complete mutha B***h, MAC decided we'd practice slipping it...when i say this gear is a B***h i mean it....so heres MAC introducing you to the gears!!
Along the way we thought maybe i could steer just as MAC tries to maneuver into the 5th gear....hmmm kinda looks dangerous and the 'I can do disss' quote of the day would not of helped the matter...
We didn't try it...well we did for a few seconds but we really wasn't up for losing our lives today!

We made it home...4th gear all the way baby!! haha...nearly broke the wheel though, after Mac decided to speed into a HUGE pot hole...the same one as last time!! Oh welll we lived to do another Brasso Blog!!!!

We had a little experimental lighting day on Friday and this is what we came up with using a manikin...pretty dope huh?!? And guess what...we lit it with 2 iphone's using a torch application!! FONKI right?!?!! Well done troops!!

And it sure was....

Like most days it started off with me and Macattack on the train...going down to Plymouth for a day of education, well apparently thats what we pay for?!?!...anyways most of the time we are the loudest people on the train, rambling about our future and laughing at ourselves in a uncontrollable manner...its only natural.

After getting into that college which they call Plymouth College of Art something crazy happened.....

The Manikin, Mani hand entered the toilets...She was known to cause some serious trouble

MAC gets the treatment from Mani Hand....i think its a stroke on the chinny chin chin...

All was OK, Mani likes MACATTACKS style and so they decided to dry their hands and leave...

  Not forgetting to turn the light off...

   Mani and MACATTACK set off for a cup of TEA... YUMMM TEAA!!!
  Mani took a fancy to MACATTACK....

   But MACATTACKS friend's weren't too sure....

  After the hunger she got back to work....a clever women she was but not clever enough...   MACATTACK & ELZO got hold of Mani hand and before you knew it all hell broke lose!!!
ELZO stole Mani's hands and suddenly a whole world opened up to her...
  ELZO met a strange traveller man by the name of skinny Ray Mears...
  Surprisingly she still had a passion for photography?!?!
  ELZO was starting to get comfortable with her new extended arms when....

Macattack recently purchased her first Holga Camera at Christmas time and since then has been taking it with her on little adventures in macattacks dream world!!! Yup....So thought it was about time i was showing you people what i've done...this is just a tiny snippet....3 images i shot as a piece of experimental work for the last project we did! I was really enjoyed using the Colour negative Kodak Portra 400 nc...i was trying out some new work...creating images that aren't so conventional looking...more so looking at photography as a art and how i could communicate visual ideas through my camera. I'm a big fan of fragmenting things and putting them back together again...also i like things seen in a panoramic view so i had to put these set together as a tryptic. Soon i'l show my Hasselblad Xpan images and some more recent work i'm working on but for now....check the flickr site...

So me and MacAttack were scouting round the tampax area like u do...well it did take about 10 minutes to find out where the area was in boots...when i glanced over to see what i thought were posh peoples tampax...yes they obviously deserve better than us, it was these little cute things....MOXIE with a box for ever occasion...attractively sweet. we both decided they were about £10 you know how people exploit everything....as i picked up the price sign which i knocked down, as i usually do, we were both surprised to find they were about £1.99...so girls if u want something to decorate your toilet with, how about MOXIE hahahaha

OK so this isn't about the old skool camp factor of George Michael and his amazing xmas songs...but this is about wham bars...remember them??? I used to buy one everyday at lunch time...although they were the regular sized 10p Whams....the other day i walked into a little train station shop and found the ultimate MEGA WHAM!!! i was so excited...for some reason i only bought one though....but i know next time i go in im gonna raid the box!!! viva la wham!!

MACATTACKS 'REVIVAL' SHOOT

One of our editors Macattack did a shoot recently which was inspired by the theme 'Vintage'. She shot using one model in a Vintage Store named Revival in Totnes, which is full of all sorts of beautiful vintage treasures. Macattack shot the images on a Hasselblad 501cm using Kodak Portra 400NC film for it's warm tones and a 50mm lens, the lighting was a single flash head to create the deep shadows and moody atmosphere.
